I need to transfer my contacts from my Razr to my new Pearl. I have a "Blackberry User Tools" disk and the salesperson said to use it and outlook to transfer my contacts. But I can't get it to work. Any tips?
put the SIM card from the Razr into your BB. Setup wizard will tell you there are contacts on your card and if you want to transfer them to your BB. Just click yes
Alltel is CDMA, no sims. Take the file on the disk they gave you. It should be a .csv file which is a Comma delimited test file. Open outlook and choose File Import and follow the prompts and browse to the location of that file and import it. Once imported, open Outlook and clean up any of the entries and save them. Then use Desk Manager to synch your Outlook to the BB.
how do you get the sim data from your razor to your laptop or pc. my fiance is needing to switch her contacts from her razor to her treo centro (she thinks the pearl is too difficult to use) and i cant figure it out. my PC can't find the drivers for her razor which is sim on t-mobile, but her centro is CDMA sprint. is there a way i download a free driver to make the transfer easy? when i got my pearl the guy at sprint swapped the numbers over for me using a machine they had. i wonder if they can do it with her razor.
Im trying to load a couple of games onto my pearl that i downloaded to my pc from the blackberry lounge. when i follow the steps to load the app, i'm getting a message that the app does not exist. help please.
yeah i had this problem as well aperantly the BB is does not come with everything out of the box. you will need to go to the BB website and down load the handheld application software to your PC before you can install any applications to your BB. yes i konw this sucks and i have no idea why they can't simply include this software with the disk that came with the BB. but that is what you need to do.
search the forums for the error you recieved you may find a more detailed answer with a link.
jersey, the reason could be that OS versions change and are updated fairly constantly. Hence, why include something that is very likely out of date by the time you open the box.
I am not saying that is the best practice... but it simply could be the thinking.
