Has anyone switched out their tmo 8320's silver keyboard with the black one? and is there a way to get the black call button row like the 8330?

I have a red case and black keyboard I'm debating putting on my 8320. I just don't like the red AT&T chin cover.

Wirelessly posted

A black keyboard wouldn't look that bad on the graphite 8320, the gold one might look kinda ugly.

John if you don't want the red, I'm sure my wife wouldn't mind taking it off your hands since that is the color is what she wanted but had to get a silver one lol

i have the black keyboard on my Ti 8320. no call buttons though... i dont think the 8330's top row is compatible since it's integrated into the whole keyboard "bubble circuit" under the layout tray... the ribbon cable doesnt match up to the mainboard, if i remember correctly.

i have never physically tried... i just had both devices open at different times and remember the 8330 "not looking right".

The top buttons aren't integrated into the circuit board. It is a plastic unit that screws to the circuit board. I've been told the black buttons will fit by Horizon Wireless.

and after referencing it, yes, the whole keyboard tray will interchange between the 8330 and all other 8300 models.

Well, there's no ribbon cable on the keyboard. The small metal contacts are basically taped to the circuit board for the keyboard and there is a plastic keypad holder (that the rubber keypad sits on) that has the top row of buttons attached to it.
