Exclamation Calender Issues OFF ! HOUR IN BB

Please Login to Remove!

I am pretty good with Outlook and my BB Curve 8320. Recently I made some meetings in the Outlook Calender. I did a sync to find that everything in my Blackberry was 1 hour ahead of everything in my Outlook? It just started doing this out of no where. What can this issue be? I searched the forum but was not able to find anything. I didn't want to waste anyones time if it wasn't necessary. Thanks for your patience.

Some other things to check:

* is it all entries an hour off, or just new?

* what about computer clock in windows?

* is Desktop Manager sync set to update device's date and time?

Not windows clock or anything else mentioned. I just checked it all out. I didn't install any programs or do anything to the computer as well. It just started doing this out of nowhere.

If just new entries are off, then I don't think it is clock difference between BB and PC. But I'm stumped.

Just to be sure, did you do a hard reset on the blackberry and try again?

I did d a Battery pull. Is that what you mean by hard reset or a complete restore to the phone?

Just a guess: you could try going into Desktop Manager and in backup/restore > advanced you can delete the calendar data base. The do a re-sync of everything in Outlook to the blackberry. Maybe the blackberry calendar is corrupted somehow. Seems unlikely that would cause this. Just a stab in the dark for lack of a better idea at this point.

So I tried deleting the calander in the advanced restore of the Desktop and still nothing. I am still an hour off. I checked Daylight savings in outlook and thats fine. I checked timezones inoutlook and thats fine as well. This is killing me!!!!

Shouldn't be necessary. Patch is now included in OS (if it is even still a patch on newer models, though it shows as a patch on my 8700g).

Default Appointments out 1 hour

I have same problem. If I make an appointment on BB it is one hour out in Outlook. If I go the oethr way it works fine.
problem is caused bt the changes to DST last year. My problem only occurs between 16 March and 5th April. I have applied the 4.1 or 4.2 DST patch and that fixed up errors that were happening both ways. So maybe even though the latest OS is supposed to have the DST patch maybe it does not?

Well, maybe worth checking in options for presence of the patch, then. Don't know about newer models, but in my case it shows at the top and also in the application list from advanced options. I expect, though, that it is there in newer models.

Might also be worth asking if both Outlook and Windows were patched, if they are old enough to have required it.

Check this out
"When the Daylight Saving Time (DST) dates changes at 00.00 hours on Sunday October 14, 2007 BlackBerry smartphones will not automatically update their clocks for the Santiago time zones. BlackBerry smartphone users running in the Santiago time zone (-4) may notice meetings and appointments showing up at the incorrect time on the BlackBerry smartphone and/or on Microsoft® Outlook® email clients."

The file to fix the issue above is attached, use it at your own risk

Make sure when you entered the new app you didn't change the time zone in the app.
