Default hourglass comes and goes

Please Login to Remove!

pretty much since earlier this afternoon on my 8330 I have had the hourglass flash on my screen and then go away.
I have done a battery pull a few times and that hasn't helped.

He has an 8330, I would imagine a bunch, but I could be wrong.

Do you have any 3rd party software on the device? How many applications do you have running?

I was getting ready to delete recently downloaded programs, which were google maps and weatherbug.
okay I deleted googlemaps 1st, and it rebooted. Weatherbug is flashing red, for flood alerts in the area. I clicked on that. And now weatherbug is normal. And the hourglass left. Is that normal?

was it weatherbug with and alert?

Also I noticed the red light had been flashing during this. I didn't take note of it really as I have been messaging peiople on BBM, and now with no messages I saw the redlight going and again once I clicked the weatherbug icon it stopped as well.

I'm relatively new to using a Blackberry and am having the same problem and was wondering if it had to do with Memory.

It is very frustrating b/c I have my email remove from my device once a week, and I've noticed when the hourglass gets into a spinning fit sometimes I lose my call log as well as all messages in my Inbox.

When it spins, the device will not respond to anything, and it will do this on and off for an hour at times.

You should be doing a battery pull once or twice per week to maintain your device in good operating condition. That should solve the problem of your messages and call logs going away.

Buying a media card will help if you are storing pictures or other media on your device. However, you cannot store messages or call logs on the media card.

The following links should help:

What type and size Media Card can I use in my device? - BlackBerryFAQ

How do I add media files to my microSD card? - BlackBerryFAQ

There is a TON of useful info at BlackBerry FAQ - BlackBerryFAQ.
