Welcome to the forums.

Try going to Options > Security Options > Firewall. Is there a check next to SMS?

Where did you get the device? Did you get it second-hand (eBay)?

What happens when you try to send? Do you get a red X? Have you tried removing the battery for 30 seconds?

I am thinking this is an issue on Nextel's end.

There have been a handful of threads here about issues with texting (MMS) on the 8350i's. Here is one of them:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...-once-all.html

Also, what version of the device software does it have? Click on the Options icon, then About. The version is the 3rd line down. Will be v4.6......something.

Good point.

OP, are you talking about SMS or MMS?

Nextel devices can only process MMS messages, not SMS. Do you have anyone that can send an MMS message to you to see if that works (or the Sprint rep that should have tried it as a matter of troubleshooting)?

I don't think it can...but do you know anyone that can try sending you a true MMS message, as opposed to an SMS message?

The 8350 can receive both MMS and SMS. It can only send MMS.

Maddierose - what version OS does you device have?

Did you do a Master Reset and resend the Service Books to your device?
