Default Holy Crap! I Got Super Glue On My New Curve Screen!

Please Login to Remove!

I just bought a new 8300 Curve (unlocked), set it all up, then decided to superglue something (earphones for an iPod).

Somehow I dumped Crazy Glue RIGHT ON THE DAMN SCREEN OF MY NEW CURVE!!! AAAAAAAARRRRGHHHH!!!

I decided to ask for help here, when I tried rubbing alcohol...No Dice!

Then I remembered I had Brake Cleaner, similar to Acetone in the Garage. I figured what the heck, can't mess it up anymore than I already have.

I used a terry cloth towel soaked in the cleaner, and low and behold, it ALL CAME OFF WITHOUT ANY DAMAGE TO THE SCREEN AT ALL!!!

I am soooooo happy!

Thought Id share incase anyone ever got a foreign substance on their screen.

Cheers

That is a funny store. Glad to hear you were able to fix it.

I have a huge scratch on my Pearl and have no idea how to make it less visible. =)

I've never tried this but I wonder if some of the products that are supposed to repair scratches in eyeglasses would would on the LCD?

Liquid Lense - Eyeglass Scratch Repair
Liquid Lense - Eyeglass Scratch Repair

I'm sure there are many others and I'm not recommending this but curious if anyone else may have ever tried it.
