Want to setup BIS on an unlocked AT&T/Cingular 7100g on the Airtel network

I currently have a 7100g handset that I was using with the AT&T Wireless side of Cingular. (the part that was the old AT&T, but even though they have merged they operate as two seperate companied). Anyways, I was using this handset with my corporate BES to recieve emails, etc. I am in the process of transferring to India....I called Cingular/AT&T support (whatever we want to call them) and asked for the unlock code, and they would not unlock the device. Anyways, a few days back I got the unlock code from gsmphonesource and was able to get this phone unlocked. I am currently in India, and have been able to get a GSM card from Airtel (Bharti) so the unlocked phone is working as a phone. I need to put down a deposit to enable BB service. Before I do that however, the question is - I have left my original company, so I cannot use the BES anymore (plus I have deleted all the service book entries from this), Airtel does have provide BIS (airtel.blackberry.com), however since I need a PIN# & IMEI# to activate a BIS account & these two belonged to Cingular/AT&T (even though I never signed up for a BIS/BWC account with Cingular/AT&T), would I have a problem signing up for an airtel BIS account? Please do let me know what you guys think. Please do propose some alternatives if you think I may have a problem here.
Thanks,
