Default Syncing Blackberry Addresses

Please Login to Remove!

When syncing addresses between Outlook and my Blackberry 7190, what is the source in Outlook that feeds the Blackberry's address book?

The formats don't seem to be consistant between adressbook and messages.. Is there a way to clean up the existing address lists, and keep them from getting messy?

Thanks in advance, Bill

Can you be more specific? Not really sure what you're talking about.

I will ask this question while waiting on his response. I am new to this community and loving my new phone but am stumped on how to go about syncing my blackberry to outlook. I have installed the sync software and synced the phone with the computer but have no idea what to do next. Hope someone can help!

Check the software that came with your BlackBerry. You should have a stripped down version of Intellisync that will allow you to sync with Outlook. Yo do have to train it though. Once installed, look for the 'configure PIM' button. Then point it to the folders you want to use in Outlook, decide if you want to synchronize, import to handheld, or export from handheld. Check the conflict resolution rules as well. If address book entries are somewhat off, check the 'field mapping'. But keep in mind that the handheld will not display all the fields you have in Outlook. Have fun with it!
