How to Re-Install existing 7100T firmware version?

I upgraded to the latest (128) firmware a few days ago, and it magically fixed a problem I had with my web client service book being disabled. My belief is that the disabling was due to a policy being set by my company's BES server, so I was happy that the upgrade "fixed" this problem. However, today my company provided a new set of "standard" BB software, which I stupidly installed and which promptly disabled the service book again. So, what I would like to do is re-install the V128 firmware again. However, every time I attempt to do so it won't let me because it knows that I already have v128 installed. Can anyone out there offer me a suggestion to get around this and force a re-install? How about if I restore to the loader backup file that was created when I did the upgrade the first time - will this also restore the old firmware? Thanks!
This has been answered over and over and over again. A search would provide you with 2 or 3 different answers on getting the original software back on your device.
I'm afraid I still am having no luck. I already knew about deleting the vendor.xml file, but this time I tried deleting device.xml as well but to no avail. I can bring up AppLoader and it attempts to do a software update, but then iit compares the software it wants to load vs. what's on the BB and determines it's the same version, so it won't let me perform the update.
Install the original software your device came with, uninstall the new software. It should ask you if you want to keep the newer version or install the version provided by desktop manager. That should get you going.
Well, I tried various combinations of removing/installing software and or XML files, but nothing seemed to work. I finally broke down and used the javaloader technique, and I'm happy to report it worked fine. It was a bit nerve-racking, though, as there were several times when the BB seemed to "hang" for quite awhile. I am also happy to report that this technique fixed my problem with the web client service book having been disabled via corporate BES policy. What I did prior to wiping clean my BB was to take a full backup, and then immediately after reloading all the software I restored all the data *except* for the service books. After doing this I had to logon to the BWC site to send the BB a new web client service book, but once I did things were fine. I don't know if anyone else has had similar experiences, but it seems like this technique can be used to gain full BWC access if your corporate BES policy disables the feature.
