Does the menu clock change to the correct time zone while traveling. I know this one might be hard to test, but it annoys me that I have to manually change it when 20 dollar phones do it automatically. Lol Thanks

I am looking to get a Bold and maybe might get one on line in Germany (probably eBay.de)
I am a Belgian resident and am wondering if I could get a BIS account
(that would work!) when I get my phone in Germany. Does Blackberry allow this?
My provider is Proximus and I am not sure if the would allow this?
Is this a problem?

NO

Doesn't. won't. It's not a stand alone $20.00 phone. It has a live sync to corporate mail system. Search of time zone change. You'll get more than your share of reasons why it's not such a good idea to have a BB auto change the time.

No, this isn't a problem. The device would work.

Again: What about Youtube? Just want to know. If no better than the Curve, then I will think more about the Bold and getting it.

if you receive an AVI video attachment, can you save it to the memory card and/or view it?

Yep - I learned the hard way. When I first got my 8700 & traveled to a different time zone with it, I too was dismayed when the clock did not automatically update - in fact I could not believe it.

THEN, I changed the time manually.......and screwed up the time of all of my appointments too.......

Java applets don't work. Kinda weird that the device is written in Java and runs on a JVM.

Come on, where are your questions?
My bold won't play utube videos of any kind. I get a message, "An error has occurred attempting to play media". I haven't tried any others except for the preloaded ones which play fine. Please advise.

Thanks in advance

Question

Got my bold too but I'm sure you're the expert!! A couple of basic questions from a brand new BB user:

1. I have two (2) email accounts set up on the Bold (home & business) with
two icons, theoretically one for each. However, all emails dump into both
icons! Is there a way to have all my home emails go into the home icon
and all my business emails into the other one?

2. When I download ringtones and wallpapers to my desktop, I do not know
how to get them into my phone!! With Treo there was a sync folder for
Palm where they went to! HELP!

Thanks for your anticipated help.

Mike

Need your help in setting up my browser correctly. Currently I can only display text worst of all, any embedded video is not displayed at all in its place a blank space is rendered in the screen. I anticipated that no configuration was needed for the browser.

Please advise.

Does the Bold play any embedded video from any news websites? I know some require flash and the Bold doesn't have that. But, I don't think the iphone does either, and I was able to play some embedded videos from FoxNews on my son's iphone. Any plans for flash in Bold's future?

Default Bold 3G speed on laptop

When I connect via Bold on laptop - i don't get 3G speeds. Bold indicates I m on 3G. The speed test I did on laptop --

300kbps down and 1500kbps up. Its very weird that upload is so high and not the download. I tried downloading some files it is indeed really slow.

What can i do to improve the download speeds?

Thanks!

Mine one also got the same problem. The device was indicated 3G with the RIM logo, but it will suddenly drop to 3G without the logo and the speed was very slow once I connected to the laptop.

How to improve this problem?

Will the Bold allow me to post video on a website and then have the Bold stream it and play it on the screen? I DO NOT WANT TO DOWNLOAD, THEN PLAY THE VIDEO. Plus, the video is 45 MBytes -- too large to download and play.

If it CAN stream, how do I set it up to do so?

1) What kind of file?

2) Where do I post it?

3) How do I play it back (stream) on my Blackberry?

Thanks.
