Default Emails read in Outlook not showing as read on BB

Please Login to Remove!

At my old job, when I read an email in Outlook, the same message would show up as read in my Curve. Fastforward to new job and new BB. Now, when I read an email in Outlook, my BB still shows that message as new and unread. However, if I delete the email in Outlook, then the message will be delete on my BB. I have to manually reconcile in order to have the messages show as read in my BB.....I called tmobile and got no answers. Blackberry tech support was equally clueless. My firm's IT guy is no better. This is my last hope of finding an answer before returning the phone. And yes, we are on BES and I have Delete On set to Handheld and Mailbox and Wireless Reconcile is set to "on."

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Since manual reconsile works, it looks like everything has been setup correct.
I would try:
if your mailbox is large, and, if your inbox contains a large subfolder hierarchy:
Disable any outlook rules
Move alle subfolders out of the inbox to somehere else

In the blackberry enterprise console, klick "reload user"

Monitor the bes logs for problems regarding synchronisation with your device.

Also, if your server is running exchange 2007, apply all latest sevice packs - there was a problem with calender events not synching properly until exchange 2007SP2

Try out, if it makes a difference, if you disable cached mode in your outlook client.
If this helps, delete the ost file, again enable cached mode in outlook

thanks for the info guys - everything is set up correctly on the handheld and on the server (from what IT tells me)....I noticed that you said that the reconcile function is least priority, so I thought maybe I wasn't waiting long enough, but it takes no time at all for my BB to reconcile emails deleted in Outlook....maybe I just got a lemon?? Or maybe our IT guy has no clue what he's talking about
