Default Email won't reconcile

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

I have a 7130 (Vodafone UK) on BES. It has been fine until recently but now it doesn't reconcile messages I read in GROUPWISE to my BB. I've tried the usual 'battery pull' technique as well as re-registering my wireless to the carrier (Host routing table).

Manual 'Reconcile Now' doesn't work either. I can add calendar items in Groupwise and these instantly appear on my BB so I guess the wireless communication is working??

Can anyone help?

on your device, in your email options under email reconciliation, do you have wireless reconilation on. Also check the BES and see if reconciliation is set to bi-directional.

Try this, Go into your Messages> Messages Options> Email Reconciliation> and check your "Wireless Reconcile" (that should be set to "yes").

If that is set to yes already, you can try Regenerating Encryption Keys:
From the main menu, access your Settings> Options> Security Options> General Settings> highlight "Desktop" (right under Services> and press your trackwheel in, and select "Regenerate Encryption Keys."
Then once that's completed, perform a battery reset.

If THAT fails, try plugging your Blackberry into your PC and run the Blackberry Desktop Manager Software and do a wired-sync.

Forgot to say, yes Wireless Reconcilliation is on > Delete on Handheld & Mailbox = Yes > Conflicts = Mailbox wins.

I'm not BES admin so I will have to ask that question.

I spoke with our BES admin today and he was puzzled too!

Still not working eh? I would suggest resending the service books and turning wireless reconcile off, and save, then turn it back on. Hopefully that helps for ya!

How do you resend Service books? And where in the BESX server do you set the reconcilliation to "2 way"?

Thanks.

Smile On BES

I am on BES/Exchange. Btw, I hunted around and found both items. My email reconcilliation is "bidirectional", and I clicked on "Send Service Books" to get them.

A little more backstory, my BB was on BES, then I switched it to BIS, then to Redirector, and finally back to BES. So, the possibility of Service Books being the problem is pretty high.

I don't know what should and shouldn't be in my service books, so I really can't tell if they are setup correctly.

Also, I do recieve email ok, and I can delete on the BB and have it deleted on the Exchange server, but not vice versa. Also, filing mail does not work on the BB. And if I file or delete on the Exchange server ( via Outlook ), the BB doesn't notice.

Thanks!

It does sound like this is a hang-over from BIS/redirector which don't support the features you now need. As others have said clearing/resending service books is the obvious fix. However, as a last resort you could wipe the device and start again with Enterprise Activation from the word go (if you do this, search on here and make sure you know exactly what you're doing).

I do think that some information is "sticky" - I had a problem that I couldn't get rid of folder names when I switched from Redirector to BIS and only a wipe got rid of them.

Smile Fixed

Pushing the service books out worked, now my BB and Exchange mailbox are going to live together happily ever after. Thanks to everyone who chimed in to help.
