My BB clock is exactly one hour behind. Was it Daylight Savings already?

Next Sunday, November 4th. Mine did, too, and I have a newer BB.

Did you install the DST Patch on your device?

No, I didn't install the patch. Is it necessary or can I just wait until next Sunday and have the correct time?

You could do that, but you may be in the same boat next year if you have the same device......

The patch is easy to install. Just use your BB browser and go to www.BlackBerry.com/dst2007.

I would guess since your device came out after DST (I think) so it probably has the patch built into the OS.

Not sure why mine is all screwed up, though. I even tried installing the patch and it didn't help.

I was wondering because I saw the ota dst patch and I thought they only show up on the bb browser if the bb needs to be updated.

eh, mine was fine today. I patched my wife's 8100 back before the March change, but today, it came up an hour short also. TMo sent out a patch notification during the day today which she received.

We are seeing an odd occurance. A Curve (which includes the DST fixes), an 8700 (that has the DST patch installed), and Pearl (that also has the DST patch installed), have all fallen back too early.

I can't explain it since all of them are supposed to have the new time zone tables.

Done that twice. The device is set to network time, I have to manually set it if I want the time to be correct.

Make sure that the "Date/Time Source:" option is set to either Blackberry or Network, and not to Off

Default We have Users with Blackberries 1 Hour behind that already had the patch install

Hi There,

My Blackberry Pearl and my boss's Blackberry Curve 8310 (only 2 weeks old) both are 1 hour behind. I had the DST2007 patch installed last February so why didn't the patch work?

When I called RIM this morning it took 40 minutes before they and Roger's recommended wiping out my Blackberry and reloading the OS.

I can't wait to tell this to 20 more of our Blackberry users who don't have time for this.

I called RIM again (waited 35 minutes on hold) and then the tech that answered said hold on a minute I said sure why not I justed waited 35 minutes so nows its a total of 40 minutes on hold. Last February during the DST2007 crisis I think I waited 2 hours on hold.

I supposed I could try reinstalling the DST Patch again.

Anyone have any other solutions?

Frustrated BES Admin!

It seems that certain BBs are having this issue. Evidently the dates for DST even with the patch are not working in some cases. We had some other issues with our other network devices (i.e. Cisco Phones) today as well. We updated or BES and that didn't help, also re-applying to recent DST patch from BB didn't help either. Last year DST ended on Oct 28th, which was yesterday.. This year Nov. 4th. So there's something squirly with the DST that may not be working for everyone.. As it seems...
