Default BES 5.0 and S/MIME?

Please Login to Remove!

Just curious, checked on the blackberry.com site for S/MIME package and the latest one they have on there is for 4.1? Posted back on Dec 2005?

Is S/MIME feature already built into BES 5.0? If so what is the procedure for activating on certain devices?

It is built in into 5.x also in the 5.0 Software of the devices.

I tried a few things, ( I only want to receive S/Mime mails ) but it did not work very good.
see here:
http://www.blackberryforums.com/bes-...light=S%2Fmime

In the components view,
open "email",
click on your server,
on the right side click on the "messaging" tab,
scroll down, there you can enable s/mime processing

IIRC S/Mime support for email needs to be turned on in the BES as well.

Well, I did this, however.
The only this since I enabled s/mime is that I now can receive it and verify the signature.
I still cannot view the content of a plaintext signed mail.
I cannot reply to a signed mail.
Error: unknown attachment.
