Default Is it possible to re-install an old BB os

Is it possible to re-install (i.e. downgrade to) BB os 10.3.2 after the uniit has been upgraded to 10.3.3?

It's not supposed to be. So there is no supported way to do it. I can't say for certain there is absolutely no way to do it...I just haven't been paying attention and haven't kept up.

What about this: (done on a pc with OS Windows 7)
- restore factory settings (assuming the unit originally had os 10.3.2 or earlier)
- do a Custom Restore of current data exempt System Applications
- deactivate Software Updates on the unit to ensure older version of the os remains

Doing a restore to factory doesn't do anything with the OS; it clears all settings to defaults and clears user data. I think of it as like a security wipe without the wipe. But it doesn't alter the OS software. It doesn't reset the OS to the factory OS at the time that device was new in the box.

One method to use is finding an autoloader for the OS you want to load.
The autoloader will put in the older OS . The auto upgrade should be disabled to prevent an OTA upgrade. Another issue is the backups made on newer OS will NOT work on the downgraded OS.
Autoloaders were used to allow pc users to directly load software to the Blackberry and not use LINK or other database tools...

do an internet search for the level you want and hopefully one still exists. I saw some at 10.2 level.

Keep in mind the phone will not accept any backups made on later OS. Not good if you have a lot of contacts and other items.

There is a post on autoloaders. J Sanders listed many OS versions.

Many thanks to both of you. In view of the above, I'll stick with what I have, which is OS 10.3.3 (unfortunately) with a backup facility on my netbook with W7 Starter. It works, so I'll just leave it alone.
