Default Device Lock

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I have just up-graded my Bold 9000 from OS 4.6 to 5.0.

I am trying to lock my device by putting it into the holster by activating the option as follows by it does not work: Options>Password>Lock Handheld Upon Holstering (YES)

Please assist.

Cheers.

Is it a holster with a magnet to trigger the sensor in the handset?

Yes it has a magnet - it worked before upgrading to OS 5.0 from 4.6 - if it has anything to do with that.

Cheers.

You double checked to make sure the lock-on-holstering setting is enabled? Maybe you backed out of the screen and didn't save, or something?

Do the in- and out-of-holster profiles work? And does the device screen come on when device is removed from holter? (In other words, is there evidence the device is sensing the holster?)

Have you tried a hard reset, yet?
