Is this worth the upgrade? I am impressed with the 640, I lost it. Found it in the dryer. That means it went through the wash and dryer....still works.

I'm wondering the same thing right now.
I lost my 640 whiles jogging in the park last november along a busy trail. it rained overnight. came out the next morning and found it still working and it connected to my BB8700g right away.

Now I lost it again and this time for good.
I'm looking at the HS-655 vs. getting the 640. The 640 seems to be tried and true and still is very popular amoung Plantronics users (just see the bids they get on eBay vs. other BT headsets)

At this point it may be cheaper for me to get the HS-655 since no one is bidding on them on eBay and evryone wants the 640 still. So a Brand New 640 from a trusted dealer will cost $50-$70 cheapest whiles you could get a 655 for far less than that.
