I have a 9800 that I used for work on the BES. The company forced the use of a password on all blackberry's. I have left the company and own the Torch. I've done a complete reset but it still requires a password and I cannot uncheck the "require password" setting. Any ideas? I can't go back to the company and have them do it since we didn't part on good terms. Any help would be appreciated

You need to remove the IT policy. Search for that on the forum and you will find instructions.

Either use JL_CMDER, BB Swiss Army Knife (BBSAK) or get a copy of "Javaloader". Javaloader has a "resettofactory" option that is the basis for removing the IT Policy.
