Both play DivX, I believe, and both apps work on any of those phones you listed. If not you can use the Roxio Media Manager that comes with DM and convert it to the phone.

Not a problem. You have two options, either via the Download Manager PC application or Over-the-Air using the BlackBerry's Internet Browser.
So, you can use the links I provided before to download the version that you can install via DM or you can go to ShapeServices OTA or Dollars5 OTA.

Again, the same OTA links standalone. Just to make things easier, you can always browse the wap.blackberryforums.com rather than type each in.

Side Note: XPlayer by ShapeServices is free but mediaPlayer by Dollars5 is not free, but an older version comes bundled with multiPlayer Personal edition.

Isn't there a free player, these each cost $20. Very steep!
Why wouldn't RIM allow its own player to play DIVX or XVID content. And whenever we watch something compatible, it is not even full screen..

Sounds like he's saying that the built in player (free!) does play DIVX files if at that OS (and presumably later OS releases).

No need to load/install anything new...
