With my bold I was able to tether my Laptop for internet access when I was on the road. Is there a way to do it with the Storm2 too?

No, nor did I have it on ATT with the Bold. There was a thread of how to do it without the plan.

You either need the tethering plan or the Tether application.

There's no way to do it for free on Verizon.

I use pdanet on my storm2. I'm not on vzw.
My provider would like for me to have a tethering plan but this works out better.
