Default My 9700's Camera is much better then my Torch!

Please Login to Remove!

After testing out, and playing with my Torch the last few days I've come to a pretty sad observation. The camera on my 9700 is much better. The realization is that mega pixels mean nothing when just viewing pics on the phone. Maybe it does when blowing them up and printing. But for viewing pics on the phone, the 9700 and even 8900 are better then that of the Torch. Anyone else feel the same?

I disagree. My experience is the opposite.

I agree with rdef. Image quality has improved over my 9700. Even the pictures taken on my 9700 look worse on the 9800 screen in compared to a picture taken with the 9800.

Large Size, Autofocus is set to single shot (changed from continuous as this worsened image quality) Automatic Flash.

Picture quaility is far better on my Torch than it was on my Bold 9000.

Took some nice landscape pics and pics around the house and sent them to some friends. They all said the quaility was much better, much more clear than the Bold.

Agreed much better camera on the torch, BTW thanks for the settings tip, that continuous auto-focus was driving me nuts..

I am glad because the Torch has a 5 MP camera as opposed to my 9700 which had a 2+MP camera.

The Torch takes pictures bigger and with a much higher pixel density than the forums will allow. Would have to down size them.... will test.

You can post them on flickr and embed them here but also provide a link to the original image. I'm sure other photo sharing sites allow for multiple sizes plus the original.
