Default Torch Quality Control(WIFI)

Please Login to Remove!

IMHO Rim was asleep at the wheel and should have never put this out to the consumer, the wifi connection of this device is one of the most important features that is used on this device!!! The confliction of the wifi and the BIS IMHO is unacceptable!

Although I have issues with the UI of the Torch, WiFi is not one of the problems.

It got you off the phone with them, right?
When do the "RIM is recalling the Torch" rumors start.

As I said, I have a lot of issues with the Torch, but WiFi (and UMA) were not on my list.

i've not had any problems between my Wi-Fi and my BIS. WHen I thought I had an issue, it was related to the WiFi and not the device, or BIS.

There's nothing wrong with WiFi on the Torch.
In fact, when the device loses its data connection on the carrier network (which is a known problem) WiFi continues to function normally.

There is no fix yet.
You're losing BIS connectivity because of a bug in the OS.
It's got nothing to do with WiFi.

Sit tight and wait for RIM to release an OS version which addresses this problem.
For many of us, .225 made it better. Maybe carriers will release it.
