Any of you early Torchers experience this? Can someone confirm?

Mine has a slight click when typing near the bottom of the screen, too.

I had the wiggle and the click, and now i have a dead device. After downloading and setting up, plugged in to backup. Device mgr connected then disconnected. And that was it. I loved it while it worked.

So it sounds like this is a defect. I will admit it is annoying. Given that so many of you have "solid" devices, I am inclined to exchange.

I took mine back and exchanged. New one is as solid as the others in this thread have described.

what exactly are you talking about? Are you talking about a little give when you push on the screen down towards the bottom row of keys? Seems pretty normal to me since it's a slider, but is that what you are talking about?

More than a little give, though. Significant travel distance with a click. Seems almost like the storm 1 touchscreen. That's why I exchanged mine. The replacement is much better.

What did you guys tell the store reps when you took it back? I got mine last night, and noticed this after trying to set it up the way I wanted it.

I am wondering if I should take mine back, but how do I make sure I can get "solid" one with out having to go through multiple devices? Or would that be the only way?

Mine does it. I thought it was normal. So you all are saying there is no play at all in the top part of the slider?

Correct. when my slider was open, i could shake the device, and it had a noticeable rattle to it.

While I could understand what you are saying, it was concerning to see the demo units not have the same give as a fresh out-of-the-box unit. So I went back to exchange (well the wiggle and a charging issue)
