As I hang up after a call, at first I see a timer for what appears to be the length of the call, but then it increases to a longer time. It is this second timer that shows in the call log. Does anyone know what this first number represents?

I've been wondering the same thing. Couldn't find anything in the documentation.

The time displayed is wildly inaccurate. Looking at the finished call in the log gives the proper call time. I've heard that it's because the timer stops when the screen goes dark (to save power) during your calls. It's a glitch in the software that only corrects itself in the final call log.

It's funny watching the difference on my Pioneer Bluetooth stereo, the call timer gets out of sync quickly (The phone screen stays lit when calling over bluetooth)
