No.
Wireless sync is only available on a BES.
When v4.1 of the handheld software is available you will be able to sync using the Bluetooth if you have a Bluetooth enabled PC and a BT BlackBerry.

But today, wireless sync is only for BES.

Well, there's a way to have Outlook sync your Exchange calendar with a SyncML server, to which you can then sync your BB wirelessly. It's still a not-quite-ready-for-prime-time deal, though it does work, at least on the scale that I've tried it. You can search these forums for Sync4j, Syncje, SyncML, ScheduleWorld, and Funambol, for more information.

from the sound of it, Sync4j is alternative for the BES?

Why not just get a hosted BES solution? If you are going to spin up a SyncML server, why not spin up a BES. TOO EXPENSIVE. Go with one of the hosted BES solution providers.

I am not entirely sure, I want to send all my work email to an outside entity.. I would rather just have an exchange box that I control. Getting a BES license would be ideal, but waay to much mullah to justify it. I am going to dig into the SyncML server.

Does anyone have any experience with it that they would like to share?

Sync4j and the like aren't truly BES alternatives, since they don't do mail, and I'm sure the security isn't as tight. The Zimbra project kind of intrigues me, and it should be interesting to see what kind of BB connectivity they come up with.

NJBB, I agree with you, but just wanted to toss out an option that might appeal to certain folks.

It's hard to get SyncML working for the BB - the documentation is terrible. I'm thinking about creating a tutorial. Is there any demand?

Having done almost no research (and not knowing if it's done already) I would be interested in a tutorial.

There is a new free service (now in beta) to wirelessly sync your BB online. You can try the service at StashM: Your Phone Online and In Sync.

Whoa Whoa, let's quit spamming the site all over the place and get this in our Aftermarket Software section... I am downloading and installing right now, to check it out.

I am downloading it also, it appears to just sync contacts to their web page, that doesn't help me too much...
If it could sync them anywhere else it could be helpful, for me, DM syncs with outlook, then plaxo distributes them accordingly

This is something that would be wonderful for me. I'm sick of forgetting to sync via USB and not having everything up-to-date.

There are quite a few free syncml providers around, like goosync and mobical. Free, robust clients are not quite there for the bb.

What you would likely have to do is combine the use of one of the free server services, and purchase a client for the bb.

I am biased obviously, so take this with a grain of salt, but you may want to try SyncJe for BlackBerry (google can show you the way). It has a 15 day free trial, and combined with a free server, might be worth a shot if you are testing the waters.
