Default allow outgoing calls while locked" on Curve 2

Please Login to Remove!

Greetings everyone. I am lost, and feeling a little foolish to have to post such a simple question.

I have a curve 1 and a curve 2. I need to set the allow outgoing calls while locked policy to yes on the curve 2 and it's not in the same place (Options>Security> general settings).

I've looked in a bunch of different places and cant find it.

Does anyone know where to find this on the 8530 (Curve 2 from Verizon)

Thanks in advance..

Rob

Try OPTIONS/PASSWORD.

Allow outgoing calls while locked = yes

You refer to a lock policy...Are these handhelds on a BES? If so, are they on the same BES with the same IT policy? It has been some time but I want to say I remember this might be a setting on the server side?? BES Admins??

You can restrict this via an IT policy rule in the Security tab but it won't hide the setting on the device. You'll just see a red lock next to the setting on the device and you can't change it. I just checked a 8530 and the setting is in the location you previously mentioned...Options --> Password.
