That's possible. I had a decision to make. Did I want to go through technical support hell with incompetent (but polite) AT&T technical support for hours to only find out that they knew nothing (typical) or return the phone and cut my losses as quickly as possible. To help me make that decision, I read numerous forum posts from people who were experiencing the same as I was.

I do not know what you’re using your BB for, but I am a demanding user with a 3500 contacts which other Blackberries seem to handle just fine.

Well, good luck with your next BB.
As I posted in your poll, I upgraded my 9800 to v6.0.0.161 and it has been great. I use my BlackBerry occasionally.

3500 contacts. Really.

I am sure people go thru the idea of making the jump and I myself have thought about it. but its hard to find a task oriented device and for that BB scores 11 out of 9. Browser?? well it works perfectly fine for my cragslist browsing and off course my podcasting appetite filfilled with BB Podcast.
I got Samsung 46 inch hardwired to a top of the line dell and I can browse anything there with bluetooth keyboard/rat.
Torch is great but pluto with 9000 shell and touchscreen will be great switch from 9700

I do wish the CPU was faster though... for how "simple" they want these phones to be, I think I was better off with the 9000 :(

I'll tough it out
