Default SIM swap w/Cingular

Please Login to Remove!

I have a Motorola Razr w/Cingular service and just got a Cingular 7290 (w/o service & SIM card) and figure on just swaping the SIM card to whichever phone I intend on using.

Is/has anyone done this? I got the 7290 last night and put the SIM card and the phone works fine, however, couldn't access the web as in there was no icon for the browser. Also it says "Data Connection Refused". When I called Cingular they seemed absolutely clueless, but after many transfers it seems as if I need to change/upgrade my current plan to a BB plan (Blackberry 4mb or unlimited)? This plan will provide what exactly the ability to send, reply, etc. work, aol email correct does it have anything to do with internet access? The cost of this data plan is on top of my current calling plan?

Help!?!

You'll need the Blackberry plan. Yes, it will be a charge above what you're paying now. It does include the internet access. After that is done, you should be able to swap your SIM with no problems. If I were you though, I'd sell the Motorola and only use the Blackberry.
