Does anybody else have problems sending or receiving mms messages on this OS for this device? It gives me a red "x" whenever I try to send one and I can't download image or even preview it if someone sends me one.

I have a 9700 with a leaked OS 6, which is about the same as a 9780 without the extra memory.

This is a problem, apparently, with OS 6, and usually occurs when wi-fi has be activated and connected, and then you leave the wi-fi area and try to send an SMS. It's a bug, presumably to be fixed in later OS 6 versions.

One solution is to turn off the wi-fi and then try to send it via 3G.

Install OS 6.0.0.294, it's very stable.

Make sure you create a backup before you perform the below!


Instructions For Installation:


1) Install the *.exe file you just downloaded.

2) Navigate to Computer >>> C: >>> Program Files >>> Common Files >>> Research in Motion >>> Apploader

3) Delete the file named vendor.xml

4) Connect your BlackBerry through the USB port

5) Run loader.exe

6) Follow the on-screen instructions and enjoy.
