emessenger. . . is it legit?
Please Login to Remove!
in searching for a mobile messenger prog (other than the BB Messenger I already have) i came across 'emessenger'. http://mob.e-messenger.net/mobile/
i understand they want to keep the login page simplistic for mobile use, but i just want to be sure i'm not logging into a site that's just recording my information. i can't find any more info elsewhere on the net specific to this supposed site. i entered a false email address and password to see what would happen. i seemed to be stuck at 'connecting....' for a while without any further notice of an incorrect email or password.
i'm trying to connect with my MSN contacts if possible.

unfortunately all of my contacts are on MSN.
the e-messenger.net site states:
"Mobile version: Available at http://mob.e-messenger.net. All you need is a xHTML or WAP 2.0 enabled browser."

Try eMSN. It's free, and works well if you want to quickly sign on and shoot someone a quick message, and have a chat.
Plus it has an option when you log in to show just your contacts that are online.
In your Blackberry Browser
go to: http://www.funrungames.com/dlemsn.php
and instoll the top .jar file in the list.

i just tried the e-messenger.net mobile version and it works great. of course you need to click 'reload' frequently to see your contacts responses, since it's not a direct constant connection, but otherwise it works fine. i'll stick with this for a while. thx for the eMSN suggestion though.

wouldn't hurt to download them both to try it out. eMSN you don't have to hit re-connect with.

I have installed Mobile Instant Messaging Powered by OZ(TM) on a Tmob 7290 and Nextel 7520. The application was downloaded from the MyTmobile website. Tmo indicated that this software is only for the 7290.. tried it anyway on the Nextel and it worked. It supports IM service for AIM, ICQ, MSN & Yahoo! This will save you lfrom a lot of SMS charges . . . .
. . . and no need to prompt device to fetch messages, they're pushed.
Check it out at:

T-Mobile still charges all those as SMS. buddy list updates, sending, receiving, sign on, sign off. those all count as SMS charges
