So, I have received my new curve that I bought from ebay. Verified before purchase it was a good MEID number. I have backed up my old curve. I am ready to transfer my information.

On to my question. Do I activate the new blackberry first before syncing thru the desktop? I printed the directions on how, you connect both berrys to the computer at the same time. Sorry if I sound dumb, but the last time, I forgot I could transfer my information so I had my daughter enter it all manually.

it is not going to matter whether the device is acitvated on the acount or not, you will be able to xfer your contact info to either device, and once the new device is activated, you can xfer info from the old device.

Use the Switch Device wizard in DM. Works like a champ. Or if you sync to Outlook, that will work also.

For email, log onto your BIS site, change the IMEI and PIN to that of the new device, send service books and you should be good to go.
