Default Verizon Navigator

Please Login to Remove!

Navigator has not been able to locate me for weeks now. Calling Verizon did nothing to help.

Any ideas?

GPS is set as required.

Have you confirmed that your GPS is actually working?

Try using the Maps app and clicking on Menu>Find Location>Where I Am.

Did as you said, shows "Searching for satellites" for about 15 full minutes, then sort of finds my location... within a few blocks
Google Maps finds me after a few minutes too

Navigator searches about 20 minutes, then says:

"VZ Navigator is having trouble finding your current position. Please try again. [1002]

15 minutes seems a little long and the accuracy isn't very good. What was the accuracy with Google Maps?

You could try deleting and then re-installing VZ Navigator to see if that helps.

You could also go to a Verizon store, not one of the affiliates that sells Verizon phones, to see if they can help.

Google found my exact location, but it was very slow.
All GPS programs are extremely slow in finding my location, if at all.

Default VZ Navigator and Updating Location

I have had the same issue. I went to the Verizon store and they called Tech Support. Apparently, the latest version of VZ Navigator is conflicting with third party apps, specifically VLingo. Do you have that loaded on your BlackBerry? Tech support said they are aware of the issue and are working with VLingo to correct it. Options are to delete VLingo or just wait it out until it is fixed.
