Default "more available" in email messages on Sprint Worldphone 8830

Please Login to Remove!

Greetings All:

I am helping a staff member with his new Sprint World Phone 8830. When he is reading long email message he is getting the phrase "more available" at the bottom and you can tell there is more to read.

Now on other BB when you scroll past that phrase it automatically senses that you want to see the rest of the message and it pops up.

Now under General Options there is a "Auto More" choice and that choice was selected "Yes". I had him switch to "no" and then back to "yes" to see if it would reset itself.

It kindof reset it self it that he could see more of the message but again not all and got the message "more available".

Now you would think that if there was more available he should just be able to click on the "more" option and it would show him the rest of is "auto more" was not working. This is not the case, he choose "more" and nothing happens.

I am stumped - does anyone have any ideas on how to correct this issue?
Thanks
Jennfier

Welcome to the forums!

It sounds like you've done the correct troubleshooting. A hard reboot/battery pull might help (can't hurt).

Is it possible that the device is being used in an area where he does not have a good signal?

It is possible that he is not getting great sig, he is out in the middle of the woods in WI but it does say he has three out of five bars.

Thanks!

I also think that on Sprint at least - and perhaps others -- it just downloads the next 2K bytes -- not the entire email.
