That would be nice for alot of people. I'll believe it when I see it, as I don't see why they would release it. And if they do, they will charge for it, IMO. They charge for every little thing. They don't give you any links for free Ringtones for the blackberrys. They just say NA for ringtones. If they could charge, they would.

Its so sad, I just ordered my 7520 yesterday, to replace my 7510 I have had for over a year, and the rep actually asked me this: "Sir, if its ok, I'll be adding your Address book migration for your Sim card for only $6.00". Then he quickly tried to move onto the next phase of the order. I stopped him, and I said What, 6 dollars for what? He says "It's to migrate your entire address book so you don't loose your contacts when you change to the 7520". I said, No, I can do that when it syncs up to my computer it will download the contacts. So he says, so you are declining this offer, I said YES.

They are crafty, you have to be careful. He carged me for shipping, and account activation, and I told my wife when I got home, that I thought she told me she read somewhere on their website that its free activation, and free shipping. I have to look into it.

BTW, the reqwireless browser is great. Well worth the price. I use it DAILY on the train

Cool HTML through NOL browser

Actually, I've heard confirmation of this through my Data Account Executive at the Corp HQ (I work for Nextel in a retail store).

As mentioned above, I'll believe it when I see it, but I really think this guy knows what he's talking about. He's never been wrong before.

Everybody keep your fingers crossed!

It would be nice, but I doubt it without a hefty cost to us.

Good news if this is true!

Seems like multiple sources seem to confirm the Nextel intention. I'll believe it when I see it, but glad to hear that the rumor comes from multiple sources -- It makes this rumor more legitimate sounding. I hope so!

I received a call today from someone at Nextel in the Blackberry area making sure I was happy with my new 7520. This surprised me!

Then she asked me if I had any questions or problems and I mentioned the NOL browser was kinda lame. She said that it is currently a WAP browser and that on April 1st all users will get an update to an HTML broswer. I mentioned I had seen mention of that in these forums and was curious how that would work (i.e. I am a Mac user so was hopeful it would be an Over the Air Download). She said it would be and if I didn't see it April 1st, power down the phone April 2nd and it should appear upon power up.

Now anyone got any info on the AOL chat compatible software coming any time soon (am demoing VeriChat which is working great, but hate to spend the money if a free version is not that far away).

Default This is cool...

Having a free HTML brower would be cool, but that means I wasted $50.00 on the ReqWireless Email and Webviewer. Oh well, my friend will be happy who hasn't taken that plunge yet top buy it.

It's not a total waste -- the Reqwireless webviewer still views some sites (Such as PAYPAL) that the BlackBerry Internet Browser doesn't successfully do. Although there are cases of vice-versa as well.

You never know how restrictive the new Nextel Browser will be (i.e. secure sites, etc)

The limitations of sites is not regulated by Nextel - it will be determined by the type of login required, presence of Flash, pop-ups, etc.

I was just at a convention last week, some Nextel reps were there. I asked them about the HTML browser, they called into the company and said no. The responce was the only way to get the browser is to run through a BES server.

I heard from our data rep that the browser is in beta testing and is expected to be released some time in Q2. He couldn't provide a firm date. Once Nextel is happy with the performance thet will release it.

Ok question for you guys. I have the BB7520 with Nextel. I had the nextel browser on there, and went ahead and bought the reqwireless one and have that on there now. Then i was hooked up to my companies BES and ended up with a blackberry browser on there too.

So, when i leave the company in 6 months ( its an internship) what will happen to all this? I know i won't have access to the company email anymore, and i'll just go on with the webclient.

1) will all three browsers still work?
2) how should i remove all the info from the company so I no longer see that account on my BB with all the folders from that mailbox and stuff?
