Default AT&T Releases 4.5 News Item Question

Please Login to Remove!

The item in the News Section says that AT&T released OS 4.5 for the 8320. I have an AT&T Curve but it's an 8310. When did AT&T have an 8320? Is the 8310 software out, too? Thanks!

The 8310 software was released the same time and is available from the same download location.

Show me. Because I don't see it available for the 8310.

You're absolutely right. I thought I saw it there last night, but it is not. I retract my statement.

8310 OS 4.5 from ATT is not out yet, coming but not yet. Probably not this week.

I hear they will only release it when oil hits $30/barrel.

NJ needs a whupping.

Any idea what version? Is it newer than the .99 we're running these days?

Still don't understand why they released 8320 when they don't sell it.

How do you use the link? I only see a dropdown box for Desktop Manager software and some patches. Where is the OS?

My question is this. Since I already have os 4.5.0.108 and want to download the upgrade from AT&T(which is my carrier) will this download cause any problems because I have another carriers os upgrade?

You should have no problems at all. I did the same thing yesterday .108 to .110 and my carrier is At&t. Make sure you do a backup before you upgrade.

Yeah, I just upgraded my 8310 to 4.5...and so far I love it!
Small complaint would be the new look of the address book, but that's not to big of a deal!

Default Cautious to Install 4.5

Have certain questions to resolve before installing 4.5 on my curve from ATT:
  • Should you use DM to install rather than executable file?
  • Does micro card need to be reformatted? If so, how?
  • Should I backup phone with DM?
  • I have Empower viewer for html for email. Should I uninstall this?
  • If I brick my phone will ATT replace it since it is less than a year old?
Thanks for your help.
