Default Activate new Z10

Please Login to Remove!

I received my new Z10, charged it up for the required time, phoned Orange to activate my new sim card, put it in the phone. I can connect to the internet at home but I can't make or receive calls. Orange have confirmed that the new sim card has been activated, so is there something I haven't done on the phone?

Thanks for any help you can give me!

That sounds like a network problem with Orange and not something wrong with your phone. Connecting to your home network via WiFi tells me the phone is fine.

Try restarting the BlackBerry with the SIM card installed and see if that sorts it out. If not, time to call Orange.

Thank you, I've tried that. Orange say they will send me a new sim card, meanwhile I'm without a phone for two days as they can't reactivate my old sim card!!!

Wondering if they sent a 3 or 2g SIM card by mistake. Wifi data will work but the phone will not be able to work on the cell network

You might also try playing around with the network technology setting on the home screen swipe down menu.

Swipe, click on mobile network, then network technology, try all the settings in there.
