I upgraded my phone to 4.5 yesterday. HTML email still doesn't work for me.

I have gone into Options/About and confirmed that my OS is now v4.5.0.56.

I have received several HTML emails. They all still display just like they did in 4.3 - i.e. as raw HTML. I'm using BIS - no BES - to receive pushed email from my domain's mail server that is hosted with my ISP. I have a rule on my domain mail server that forwards the emails to my blackberry.net email address. The same emails display like they are supposed to when viewed in Outlook, after retrieving them with it via POP3.

Am I missing something?

I have multiple email accounts on my phone.

Now that I have upgraded, I can now get HTML email with the POP3 account, but the email I get from my Blackberry Desktop Redirector, which sends from my outlook, is still not HTML. Any idea on how to get that part to work?

Have you deleted your Service Books on your BB, etc., following the instructions here?

Thanks! While I was waiting for somebody to help me, I went ahead and sent the service books, just to see what would happen. Sure enough, HTML email is working now.

CoreyGMan-

My BES email doesn't show HTML emails either, though my two BIS ones do. I would guess that BES doesn't support it (yet).

I get a fatal error when trying to update. It hangs up on "conecting to boot rom" or something like that, and gives me a fatal error.

A couple of things I've noticed:

- I'm not getting HTML email. I'm with Sprint BIS. Anyone else with Sprint?
- The Roaming only option is now gone. It's like before - you can only choose Sprint or Automatic for your network preference.

Okay, heres what I did to get my phone working correctly with HTML emails. Im on a Verizon 8130.

1. Manually delete all the email service books in Options > Advanced Options > Service Books

2. Do a hard reset. Take the battery out, reboot and confirm the serivce books are still gone.

3. Login to your BIS, and send the service books. Wait a little while, about 2-3 minutes or so, to see if the options have appeared in Email settings to enable HTML. If they dont, do another hard reset.

4. Turn off "automatically download images".

5. Send yourself an HTML email. NOTE HTML emails will only work for NEW emails that are sent to you from here on out. Not existing ones on your phone.

6. Open the HTML email you sent yourself, press the menu button, and you should see "get HTML". Once you do that, you should also see in your menu, "get image(s)".

7. I went back and enabled "download images automatically" and everything works great now.

It seems like its just really buggy.

Also, I didnt have to press "get image" on every image. I did it once, and then again, and it gave me "get imageS" so at the most, you do it twice.

Another thing, I dont know if anyone else had this problem but 4.5 seems to fix it.

With 4.3, when I would select a contact to SMS text, and they had more than one number, when I could click "SMS text [contact name]" my call log would randomly show up. I havent gotten this yet, and before it would happen about once every 5 times I would send a text to a contact with multiple numbers.

Woohoo!

True, there is no longer a file total, only file free.

The HTML email never worked flawlessly (and still doesn't). I always had to click 'get images' and even then all the pics wouldn't load.

Can someone verify if the Docs2go has the whole suit of apps?

.66 can't be the gold release for VZW, as it clearly is missing some of the Docs2Go apps, some background, and some other stuff.

Wirelessly posted

Another thing this is missing is the ability to create different colored folders.

Once you load 4.5 onto your device, unplug and re-connect to DM....then hit app loader, you have to check the box for doc's to go after OS is installed
