Default HootSuite for BlackBerry

Please Login to Remove!

Public beta version now available: HootSuite - Social Media Dashboard for Teams using Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin

Thoughts:

As someone who's been waiting a long time (and still waiting) for an invite from SocialScope, I think the Hootsuite app is a welcomed alternative for those who need to update and want to check both Twitter and Facebook from one place.

I'm a big fan of the Hootsuite web interface, and like seeing that nearly all the features are carried over to the app such as scheduling tweets. But as a twitter app, I think there's still room for improvement. There's no auto-complete for user names, no "Go to user" function, and the lack of keyboard shortcuts (everything is navigated from menus) makes the whole process of using the app feel a bit laborious and slow.

I do find that the overall interface is pretty well designed, though it'd be nice to have some control over font size for tweets, composing, etc. I think those are more minor issues compared to the larger ones stated above. As this is still in "beta" I'm sure changes will be made based on feedback from users.

The app needs a lot of work. No shortcuts, marginal interface, no toolbar. Successful sending is hit or miss. I had to reset my password to enable it to work. #fail

I am surprised it would be released at this low level of quality

It's an all right app, but as stated, it needs some work. I won't be deleting it though as I'm gonna give it a few days to see if I can adjust to the things it lacks (in my opinion).
It does have a lot of promise though.

Experiencing problems with the app at the moment. For some reason, the app is only working for me at the moment when I'm on wifi. Anybody else?

Yea, I finally deleted it myself this morning. It still shows promise, and I hope they can get it going properly. But it caused my phone to lag, and hourglass way too much, not to mention it was slow itself. I also never got it to connect with my Facebook account. It signed in all right to it, but it never displayed anything.
Ubertwitter, I'm back!

Yea, and a total waste of them too. I tried to hang in there, but in the end, I got tired.
