Default AOL problem

Please Login to Remove!

Is anyone else having a problem getting their AOL mail? I got a message from Blackberry a few days ago that my account was not accessible anymore. The first time this happened, the problem seemed to fix itself and I began receiving mail later that day. But now I haven't received my mail for days. Unfortunately I can't seem to get an answer from AOL if the problem is with them.

I too am having problems with my aol account. I'm also not getting many of my hotmail accounts either. I'm not sure if the change of blackberrry address has anything to do with it. (ie: mycingular.blackberry.net to att.blackberry.net)

Default Problem solved

I get this problem from time to time. All you have to do is log on to the broser from your BB and select Set-up email accounts. then you will see a list of the emails you already have directed to your BB and select the validate link and yuou should be all set.

Actually, I just received a message regarding my aol account a few moments ago. The message is as follows:

"This email account is not currently accessible by your Blackberry device, so you may be experiencing a delay in email delivery. This issue may be caused by a temporary problem with your email provider. Blackberry Internet Service will continue attempting to access this account."

Default AOL Mail on BlackBerry

I am also having trouble receiving my AOL mail on my BlackBerry. I have tried everything. The mail stopped coming to my Blackberry on September 26. Verizon (my carrier) says it is an AOL problem. Getting AOL to respond has been nearly impossible. Finally, yesterday, they told me there is a problem and AOL is trying to fix it, however, they couldn't tell me how long it will take or any details. I don't trust AOL. Is anyone else having this problem?

I "fixed" the problem as described in post #4 above--- all seems well and my AOL account shows as "active" on the BIS web site. BUT, the fact is I am not getting my AOL email. When I log onto AOL on the computer it's there--- but it isn't being regularly sent to the BB. There is a definite AOL problem somewhere.

I've had the same aol mail problems for the past couple of weeks. First started getting the "this account is not currently accessible.." every 2 or 3 days, on 2 different aol e-mail accts. Then finally, I received the one that said it had stopped entirely. Signing onto BIS and "validating" worked.

btw, and maybe you guys already found this, but here's something from blackberry.com's tech library that you can try:

I had to revalidate my VP's AOL email account the other day in BIS. Instead of a check mark under validated it showed a X, I believe.

Maybe AOL does not like getting polled al the time?

It is AOL problem. Too many damn blackberries trying to poll AOL emails and all from Canada. That ain't right.

Silly AOL, all blackberries poll your emails from Canada.

anyone have any luck in getting this resolved? I've tried everything that I can (revalidating, etc) and have gotten to the point where I'm a extremely unpleasant person to AOL. no straight answers. no help whatsoever.
