I have the same problem. Incoming calls are deafeningly loud for the first 20 seconds or so and then drop to normal. Did anyone tell you how to defeat this "feature"?

I tried to fix my text messaging issue on the BB 8350i as suggested on previous posts but when i got to the Options there is no mms listed. Any suggestions appreciated.

all you have to do every moring which is what i had to do for a while. go into options, advanced options, host routing table. use you menu key and hit register now. do it like 3 times and you will beging recieving them. trust me it does work. i do it every moring when i turn my phone on.

I have had no troubles with my phone at all since I got this update. This is good because the new hardshell case I bought is really hard to take off so doing a battery pull would be difficult!

i just got my new 8350i today and activated. Overall i'm really satisfied with the phone and all the functions. this is the first Blackberry i have owned and i'm pretty impressed.

i am able to send and receive MMS or SMS messages. However, when i receive text messages i recieve two of the same message.

does anyone else have this issue, or know of a quick fix. there are so many options on this phone, i still have to play around with it.

I am using Boost Mobile (Nextel) and I can call, recieve calls and use the walkie but when I want to send a message it doesn't give me the option. And when I go into Options there is no MMS in there. When I am sent texts I see in the top right corner it showing there is messages and that it is transmitting but never recieves... just keeps transmitting. I have gone into the Advanced Option and reset the table and ech time I recieve an MMS stating that I am now registered with the network but still no MMS... any help please... Also, I am able to connect with WiFi and use the net no problems...

UPDATE: My wife has the same phone and when I put my SIM in hers and can use the MMS with no problems but when I switch back to mine it doesn't have the options... her phone is using v4.6.1.128 and mine is v4.6.1.204

Maybe this is the problem?

Hi! I am having the some problem.
I can receive sms text messages, however they appear without the contact information. I receive a sms I don't know how send it. I have to check with my address book to figure out who had send the message.
Have anyone find a solution for this problem?
Does anyone know if blackberry is going to release a software updated to resolve this problem?
I just change my old pear bb to this new model and I really need the sms messages.

I'm unable to send any MMS. I can receive them just fine. When I select "Send MMS" and select a receipient, then send, an "X" comes up on the message. I click the message and it's there with "Failed to send message on it between sent and subject.

Any ideas?

I have two users with Nextel 8350i phones who can't SMS. I spent hours with the CNS support reps trying to resolve the issue. The phones were updated to the latest firmware, scrubbed and they still didn't work. The only thing I've seen work is sending it to the #@messaging.nextel.com. I worked with our BES admins and removed our Security profile and it worked with the default profile. We have a corporate case opened now. If I find a positive resolution I will post it. Seems like everyone is doing loops to resolve these bugs or 1 fix doesn't always resolve the problem.

I took my 8330 in and had sprint upgrade to mms os the only lag i see is backliting and on out of idol there is always a lag when i click on anything since the upgrade

I can send anything via mms. I have no options for sms. someone otld me the only difference is that the mms can send pictures. I look under sms and it says leave messages on SIM Card: NO,
If I go into smsand mms and hit menu and select folder I have a sms outbox,inbox,and sim card inbox.

does any of this matter. and yes I have the latest software.
