Default TCP help needed on a Verizon 8330.

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I have a piece of software on my Blackberry Curve 8330 (Verizon) called Safelog. It is a pilots logbook. It syncs with a web logbook. I just installed this software and I keep getting an error message when I try to do the sync basically saying that it is unable to connect. It mentions checking settings for TCP under Options-Advanced Options (no TCP item listed there) and also to make sure that the Application is listed under Sercurity-Application Permissions (It is listed). I obviously can't configure TCP if it is not listed in Options. Does anyone have any idea where I could go for help or has anyone else maybe experienced a problem of this sort with another piece of software? Can TCP/IP be added to this device?

Thanks for any and all help,

Rich Bucholtz

I believe TCP is already on all VZW CDMA devices of 4.0 and above..

I do not believe APN settings can be added to a CDMA device.

In Options -> Security Options -> Application settings, find the application, hit the manu key and choose edit permissions, change the "connection" to allow..

However you might also want to contact support for that application.

I've had that happen as well. If you do not want to dig through all the settings re install the appliacation and run it immediately. You may also try changing the application permission settings in the device setup. Are there no settings to set up on the web logbook end?
