This morning on the radio they announced a firm release date of Friday, September 12, 2008. A local station was broadcasting live from a Rogers Store in Toronto and made the announcement.

If the vendors are this slow, I think we all will retire by the time the Bold comes out. I have had the opportunity to see and hold the device at WES and I was there in early 2008. Here we are in the 3rd quarter (ok, ok, I will get off my soap box but I know AT&T - they can't do anything fast! Including support!) and no Bold. (yawn - I think we are all tired of the waiting - ack!)

It is just going to be another rollout like the iPhone. Maby we will all get lucky and Bolds will just start to appear at a completitive pricing point. (would that be lovely!)

That would be great - but you know, we don't see any advertising on the Tube in the US (AT&T) Remember when the iPhone came out - At least we had some initial advertising but Apple may be different.
Are there Rogers ads running BOLD in Canada??

There's no ads yet but most of the Rogers corporate stores already have their collateral (advertising..dummy units, etc..)

I can GUARANTEE that the Rogers warehouse has 1000s in stock ready to ship.

We've all spoken to managers, reps, sources.....they have all given different release dates. We've been told firm dates many times....NOBODY will know anything until they are in our hands.

i cant see the bold coming monday the 18th but maybe by friday 22

now we see a flyer with a $399 price and best buy + FS show $199???

Rogers has dropped the ball on this release big time!

actually i saw an ad for the bold in Canadian business but didnt have any pricing or release information just announcing the phone for rogers

I hate to turn into Greg. But do we need another "BlackBerry Bold Release Date - CONFIRMED" thread? Right now there are three CONFIRMED dates people are on:

August 19th
August 28th
September 12th

I appreciate the information just as much as the next guy. But confirmed is not confirmed without an announcement from a carrier.

Confirmed should only refer to information released by RIM or a carrier. Not BGR, TmoNews, or some other blog. Those tossers probably speak to the same cousin who knows a girl that dates a guy......

I agree, just trying to make it easier for when it finally arrives, I was told that Rogers Stores are receiving them on the 19th, when they want to release, who knows.
