After trying it out all weekend, I love this OS! I get a better reception with this on AT&T then with .411. Very stable!

Thanks in advance.
Same problem here. Will not auto connect to any wifi - have to go in and set manually each time. Not a deal breaker, but a pain nonetheless. Anyone have a fix for this? I *could* reinstall but man, I just reloaded all of my apps before I realized this is a problem....

I am able to add Chinese (fonts and input) to this 464 build using the following steps ....
1. install 464 build to the pc (assume you already have the 411EastAsia build installed)
2. copy all the additional files from the java directory in the 411EastAsia build to the 464 build.
3. copy the CJK.alx file from the 411 build to the 464 build.
4. run loader.exe to upgrade the device to 464

However the rest of the build works quite smooth. Not sure what the issue is with Wi-Fi but glad to know it's not my BB device that's going bad. It sees a OS issue. Hope it gets resolved by RIM on the next updated beta.
I had the same issue with WiFi not reconnecting automatically until I followed your advice and enabled single profile scanning. Now WiFi is working great. Thanks!

Loving this build! I always press A to lock it, I really don't mind if it's a lock or a mute in this case, because muting the BB with this build still produces the sounds when something is incoming.

Single profile scanning works for me as well. I can live with this. Other than that, the build is fantastic....

I just realized that my BerryBuzz no longer works, does anyone else have this problem? I'm going to try to re-download it to see if it fixes it.

The battery life on this os sucks though. After a battery pull I lost two bars and after surfing on the net for like 5 minutes, lost half a bar. This never happened on 4.6.

This version appears much more stable than 411 - better battery life and no reboots so far.

One thing I noticed is my left side convenience key (voice dialing) no longer works. Right side (camera) works fine.

Has anyone else encountered this?

I believe the default left convenience key behavior was either set to another app or turned off altogether after I upgraded. I know I had to set it to voice dialing again, but it's working fine now.

i have noticed that myself as well. But i'm referring to 5.0.0.411. Only a slight difference in boot time but it takes out a bigger chunk of the bat. So for u it must have been a huge difference. though the speed of the os should make up for it. Does for me. I do however own four Bold batteries and go through three a day. :(

After about 24 hours on my rogers bold, running on att. I've had no major issues. The phone sounds pretty good, the browser is working as expected with out a fix, had to use DM to remove a stuck voicemail after initial install, but other than that, its working pretty good.

Love the threaded txt.

Yeah well I only have one bold battery, so it affects me a lot. I may opt to buy a new battery that lasts longer maybe.

check out craigslist for some new batteries, thats where i found all of mine. Now u can search for batteries under two phones. the bold 9000 and the bold 9700. U may be able find batteries faster that way. and keep at it. Don't just search once a month. Batteries come and go mighty quickly. Just make sure they're new. Avoid buying used bats.

good luck mate

Default Solid build

This one works so much better than .411
+ SMS threading finally works correctly !
+ stable, no unexpected reboots
+ Browser renders more pages correctly

Only one disappointment during install - did not correctly restore all data, had to run restore once again.

In my case also WiFi works correctly.
