Default What SRP Address to use? For South American BES physically located in North America.

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

In North America data center, we have an Exchange Server and BES servicing clients in South America.

Do you think I should be using the SRP Address for North America (specifically Canada - ca.srp.blackberry.com) or one for South America (specifically Brasil - srp.br.blackberry.net)

I'm looking to get the fastest communication between the Server and the Devices.

Thanks.

Use NA (srp.na.blackberry.com).

thanks X14.

What is the thinking behind using NA? Because that is where the server is? So, data bound for the Devices would travel through Rim's NA Network, pass to the BR network and get to the Devices?

Would it not be faster to send SRP data straight to the BR SRP? Or am I reading too much into these different SRP addresses and they are really just the same back end network?

ca.srp.blackberry.com and srp.na.blackberry.com goes to the same place. There is only 1 data center in North American which is in Canada. The BES should point to the SRP of the country it is in.

In the US they actually want you to us.srp.blackberry.com which goes to the same place as the above 2.
