Hello,

On all the AT&T 8310 phone with latest version of software (app 4.2.2.170, package 312) the ability NETWORK SELECTION MODE is not visible. The SIM is an AT&T account.

We have some Rogers 8310 phones where this feature is visible and we are able to change the mode from automatic to manual, allowing us to change networks.

AT&T support said 2 things:
1. Upgrade to latest O/S to make sure the feature exists. We are
2. It was not taken away by AT&T, but taken away by RIM.

Does anyone have any more information on this? Is one of our options trying to install the Rogers O/S on this AT&T phone? What are the chances something will break regarding the user's content because we will need to make sure the berry information on it looks EXACTLY as it did before.

AT&T doesnt offer this. Pop in another carrier SIM and it should allow it. same device, same OS with a Tmo SIM has this option.

Once again, at&t support is useless. They should know better.

Changing the OS won't do anything. That's how it is on at&t.

This AT&T user is IN Canada on the Rogers network, and the option is not there. :(
I would consider this international roaming no?

they are already Roaming on Rogers. There should be a triangle on the banner that displays the roaming.

Like Sith has said this is a known restriction imposed by AT&T. If you were to put in a T-Mobile SIM the option would appear.
