the additional option that is supposed to fix the MMS problems is here. Go to options>>>advanced options>>>wireless upgrade.

The Wireless update feature appeared on my BlackBerry Bold for a little while and also disappeared. I believe it may be a function only of BES and as soon as the device has time to see that you are not on BES the option self-destructs..

I just did my 8350i morning routine [delete service books, master radio reset, hard reset] and the wireless upgrade is back. hmmm?

---Update Saturday AM ----

I take it back. Some time after I made this post he stopped receiving his texts. Not only that, but the problem has not affected my phone that was receiving texts on Friday morning but no longer does unless I power cycle. This is clearly something larger than sending service books or making a setting change. Nextel has screwed something up here.
