I have never heard of SunCom, but I did a quick search and it looks like they are a GSM carrier, and have BlackBerry's in their phone lineup. So, as long as that is true, you should be able to buy one, have it unlocked, put your SunCom SIM card in and all should work as long as you have a BB data plan. Of course, you could use it without the data plan, but all you will get in phone and SMS.

I've roamed on SunCom before in places like North Carolina where there is no TMobile. They seem to have pretty good coverage. I think they use (or at least used to) use Harry Connick Jr. as their spokesperson.

I still think the sides of that thing should have been white.

I still don't like it, but have to admit it looks a whole lot better than I thought it would.

I'm curious too about the OS version.

and I think that "photo contact app" is T-Mo's My Fav's so just go sign up!

Saw one at my TMO store last night. Not my style. It is kind of a pearly white, but don't really care for it. I noticed no change with any sort of difference in keyboard feel.

I know it's against the general concensus, but I like it!!! I'm with Cingular though... Has anyone heard if this indeed will be realeased with Cingular in the near future? How much does it cost to have an 8100 unlocked?

Wow what a way to shaft customers. You only get the stereo earbuds if you buy the white one. Hmmm

I kind of like the white. Maybe soon we'll start seeing full BlackBerry housings in a million different colors on ebay like there are for every other phone.

To those contemplating on getting the White PEARL but thinking it might be too girly... check photos below
in different OEM skins. Pretty awesome if you ask me.

Wow, thanks for the post. Most interesting what one can do with those on a white Pearl. Really brings out the color of the skins.

It looks really nice and feminine. Unfortunately, I wear makeup and would get it all over that phone.lol

I like the Black better because it looks more sexier.
