Re: how to unbrick 9800
Did your brick get dropped or did it get wet?
Did it ever work properly?

Re: how to unbrick 9800
Steven, it is best to not dribble out the relevant information with successive posts. It complicates troubleshooting and generally irritates the people trying to help.
Also, my advice is that it is very unlikely anyone here or on any forum is going to be able to tell you exactly what you did and how to fix it, or be very effective at troubleshooting this problem from a distance.

Re: how to unbrick 9800
Who knows. Maybe you zapped a chip with static, which I am only assuming is a possibility. As I say, the possibilities are numerous.
Just curious. Was the screen you used the exact same p/n as the original screen?

Re: how to unbrick 9800
Look for markings on the parts and then compare to part information from vendors....but that was a rhetorical question to illustrate a point. Trying to troubleshoot your issue is a game of 10,000 questions with no hope of fixing the problem. Throw the thing away and chalk it up to experience. Next time research and plan the job first.
