I have a Belkin USB charger for my iPod Shuffle. Basically its a USB port that plugs into a wall socket. I was wondering if I could use that to charge my blackberry? I cant see how it would be any different then the USB port on my PC, and the ipod cant tell the difference.

Anyone know if it will work?

How many milliamps is the charger rated for? 500-600 is what you should be looking for. Any less and it will take quite a while to charge, any more and you can cook your berry.

Corey is right about the right USB milliamp capability. I have found that most of the wall chargers to USB do not have enough capacity to charge a BB. The charging symbol will come on for a second and then it will shut off and not charge on a lot of these chargers. I have even had one rated for 500 ma shut off when connected to the BB.

I use the IPOD charger with my BB 7520 and it works just fine
