Originally my 8700 got atleast a full day and half of regualr usage and now i'm lucky if i get a day...Is it because of the Zen app that i had installed, or is my BB flaking on me???
does anyone else experience this? What should i do?

I cant see as to why the ZEN theme would cause a drain on battery usage. If you want, change to the Cingular theme or your carriers theme and then see if you still have drains on your battery. Good luck and make sure to post the results

So this battery thing started to get to me a little bit. I started thinking logically, instead of like an monkey with a log. I did a bit of digging here at BBF and rediscovered some battery saving tips to keep my BB alive for more than a day.

The two biggest things that have saved my battery today ( I am still at 85% !!!), I turned the Bluetooth off and I lowered my screen brightness to 20. Try it, it may help.

I have just changed my theme to Zen and kept all other settings exactly the same and my battery lasted 1/3 of what it normally does!! Something very strange there!!

Are you sure there is no apps running in the background trying to pull data like google maps?
